Site-specific work, made for the exhibition 'Zinksel', held in March 2004 at Platform-1, Amsterdam. The entrance staircase of the basement exhibition space has been photographed using 4x5" colorfilm. The resulting photographic enlargement, was placed upside down on the right side wall. When descending or climbing the stairs, because of the narrowness of the space and the monumental size of the image, one cannot escape seeing and experiencing the stairs under ones feet as ceiling and 'floor' at the same time. In this purely sensory experience, the spectator is part of the work and completes the installation.
